The Caregiver Resource Center
In an effort to help seniors, people with special needs and their families become more proactive in planning for the challenges of aging, The Caregiver Resource Center has launched a Community Outreach Program in Fairfield County CT only.
ALL TOO OFTEN WE RECEIVE A CALL FROM A FAMILY IN CRISIS
We learn that a senior had been struggling in silence, because they didn’t know what questions to ask, where to turn for help, or what resources are available.
95% of people are reactive rather than pro-active in nature.
Rather than investing time in planning ahead, they wait unit something happens and they react.
• 78% of people are unprepared should a medical emergency strike
• 85% of people want to age in place, but have no plans on how to make that happen
OUR PROACTIVE PLANNING & STRATEGIES FOR AGING
- MAINTAINING INDEPENDENCE WHILE BEING PRO-ACTIVE
No one looks forward to an unexpected personal or medical situation that catches them off guard; which can be an overwhelming, complex, time consuming and often costly experience.
The time for a person to plan for their aging and health care issues is now, while they are still healthy, active and able to make decisions on their own.
Developing a comprehensive well thought out written action plan, can help prevent unexpected events from morphing into a crisis, which has the potential to negatively impact on the person’s health, safety, independence and quality of life.
- KNOW YOUR OPTIONS
The choices may seem overwhelming at first, but with a step by step approach, you can gather the necessary information leading you to what’s best for you and your family.
